Path of the Ranger

Recommended Ages: 10+ (However, I would recommend at least 13+)

The Path of the Ranger series by Pedro Urvi is one I came across when looking for teen fantasy - a genre my son loves to read. I really enjoyed the first couple three books of this 20-book series. I’m not sure how far I will get in the series, but I will be sure to update when and if I add to my reading from this series.

One note about this series is that there is a budding romantic relationship between two characters which becomes a bit more detailed than I think is necessary for young adult fiction. Please be sure to see the notations in the following reviews to see if that is a concern for you. Book one and two is pretty clean in that regard, but there is definitely more in book three. There is also a bit of profanity in this series - again, please look at the notations.

Book 1: The Traitor’s Son

Book 2: The King’s Secret

Unfortunately, I do not have a written copy of my review. It was lost during a computer update. There is a bit more to the development to a romantic relationship and there is some profanity.

Book 3: Mystery in the Tundra
