The Dark is Rising series is a five-book fantasy centered around King Arthur lore. The series can be a bit confusing at first, so I would highly recommend reading through the series reviews to make sure it is appropriate for your readers. Additionally, the series can be a bit dark as the main characters are seeking to keep the evilness from taking over. There is magic in this series, so that may also be a turn off for some families.
